- An overwhelming feeling of fear and dread. At this stage, the darkness has well and truly set in, and you are not able to change this feeling with your thoughts. (I can help you with this, please trust that all will come good in the end)
- Deep emotional pain that you can feel in the body. Starting in the stomach and raising up to the head. Although it can be experienced anywhere in the body or referred to as deferred pain. The avoidance of this pain might seem to increase its sensation. (again, I understand and there is a way of dealing with this.)
- A feeling of futility that is beyond just being depressed.
- Shaking in the hands and legs when you try to carry out physical tasks.
- Sudden tearful outbursts for no logical reason
- The feeling/sensation of an opening in your body that moves up and down as you bring your awareness towards it.
- Disturbed and broken sleep
- The sense you are dying. If you feel this, the chances are you are not. It is merely the feeling of dying. A useful quote from Eckhart Tolle is that “nobody ever died from a feeling”. Remember this quote and immerse yourself in what it actually means. I understand the feeling of dying, it can seem so real. However, it isn't. Of course, always follow the advice of your doctor too.
- You may have psychic experiences and regular coincidences that appear to be negative and unsupportive. There are some amazing ways to deal with this, as the healing of the positive ego begins.
- The feeling of having been energetically split in two. From your root chakra right up to your third eye chakra. All I can say is all that has been broken can be repaired. I will help you.
- The desire to help others. Yes, it is a common symptom, believe it or not. Remember, as we help others, we can help ourselves too. These are just some (of the many) symptoms you are maybe feeling as part of your dark night journey. Some will be felt more intensely and others less so. We are all different and each person's recovery will reflect this.
